Frequently Asked Questions
What is coolsculpting® and how is it different from weight loss?
Voolsculpting® is a FDA_body contouring treatment that uses cryolipolysis, or fat-freezing, to reduce targeted fat bulges. It is not a weight-loss treatment. Weight loss reduces the size of fat cells, while Coolsculpting® is designed to reduce the number of fat cells in a treated area.
Is coolsculpting® safe?
Coolsculpting® has been performed worldwide since 2009 and has a well-established safety profile. The system includes built-in temperature monitoring and automatic safety controls. A consultation is required to confirm your individual candidacy.
What side effects should I expect?
Temporary effects may include redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tenderness, cramping, skin inflammation, itching, tingling, or numbness. treatments under the chin or jawline may cause throat discomfort or a sensation of fullness.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on the area treated, the amount of fat present, and your aesthetic goals. Many clients benefit from two or more sessions, usually spaced four to eight weeks apart, to achieve optimal contouring results. After evaluating your concerns, your provider will design a customized treatment plan.
When will I see results?
Many patients begin to see changes within three weeks. The most noticeable results usually appear after two months, with continued improvement for up to four to six months as the body eliminates treated fat cells.
Are results long-lasting?
Yes. Once the treated fat cells are eliminated, they are not expected to return. However, remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain, which may affect overall results. Long-term follow-up studies have shown that fat reduction and contouring achieved with Coolsculpting® can remain visible for many years, even with normal weight fluctuations. Individual results may vary.
Who should not be treated?
